Know your Turkey
Most conventional farms include antibiotics in their poultry feed to help them grow quickly and fend off illness, which spreads easily when the birds are raised in cramped quarters. These are the same antibiotics humans take to fight illness. There are growing concerns over the declining efficacy of antibiotics due to overuse, and studies are showing that there may be an increase in antibiotic-resistant bacteria in grocery store meats. All of the turkeys you purchase from Sweet Clover Market are free of hormones and antibiotics and are vegetarian fed. At Sweet Clover Market, only the certified organic birds are fed exclusively a non-GMO feed.
